Meet Our Influencers: Rotor x Artists
From meaningful industry insights to game-changing ideas, catch up with our inspiring Rotor Artists!
Being an independent artist means wearing a lot of hats. When it comes to visuals, you’re the director, the stylist, the marketer, and the problem-solver all in one.
That’s exactly why we launched the Rotor x Influencers Program – a creative community where artists and content creators can grow their platforms with exclusive opportunities for collaboration, cross-promotion, and discount codes that unlock unique savings.
By collaborating with creatives just like you, we’ve been able to showcase new ways to connect with audiences, drive engagement, and elevate your next campaign.
At Rotor Videos, we believe every great visual starts with a great story – and who better to tell it than the artists themselves? Our Rotor x Artists series unpacks what it means to stand out in a scroll-stopping world.
Oh, and speaking of our artists: have you met them yet? Let us introduce you!
Tabitha Smyth
Meet Tabitha Smyth, a talented up-and-coming singer-songwriter from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
ROTOR: What inspired you to start creating music?
TABITHA: “I was inspired to start kind of, pursuing music - I think honestly just listening to my dad’s music. He had a little iPod Shuffle with a load of old songs; The Beatles, The Kinks, The Kooks. Just like, bands he really enjoyed listening to and I just loved kind of, taking older songs or even dance songs and turning them into my version, I suppose, of like, covers and stuff. So, yeah, kind of started from uploading covers onto Instagram and then from there, just having the opportunity to write my own music and kind of create my own stuff and just being able to write with other people. I find it really enjoyable and very therapeutic.”
Hear the rest of Tabitha’s story on Rotor x Artists, in Episodes 1 and 2, where we interviewed her about approaches to songwriting, gathering inspiration and life as a rising star!

Victor Lana
Hailing from the city streets of Toronto, Victor Lana is a Brazilian independent artist who's navigating the music industry with flair.
ROTOR: How have you seen the music industry change over your career?
VICTOR: “[...] I would say kind of, the biggest change from when I started is very much a focus on labels and “the gatekeepers.” You had to call the attention of a gatekeeper – a label, if you will – in order to like, get your music out there; get yourself heard, in order to be present in the industry. So now, it's democratized things for independent artists to be able to release their own music. To share their own stories through social media; to connect with their own audience and really have that community – that, that relationship – without needing to be signed to a major label [...]”
From his journey as a musician to the evolution of performance spaces, Victor gave us the full scoop on navigating the music world. Check out what he had to say in his episode of Rotor x Artists!

Zack Werner
Straight from the heart of Canada’s music and entertainment scene, Zack Werner is a multi-talented industry veteran who has left an unforgettable impact following his days as a panelist on Canadian Idol.
ROTOR: Do you think there is a difference between inspiration and emulation?
ZACK: “[...] We're not really just strictly reinventing what music is. So, inspiration hopefully is always a part of it, but I like to think of it as a combination of art and science. You know, there's always an artist side – it's arts and crafts, right? You have to know your craft, but to make the art, you have to be inspired.”

“To me, music is just that thing that fills a silence, it fills a hole and all that jazz. But music is the heartbeat of a city, it's the heartbeat of a country, it's the heartbeat of the world.”
